In celebrating the Phoenix Mars Lander 10th Anniversary on Mars, watch the 10th highest-grossing film of 2015, The Martian. The Martian, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Matt Damon, follows the journey of a stranded astronaut on Mars finding his way back to Earth. The science fiction motion picture was based on the book, The Martian by Andy Weir. The 2015 film was highly acclaimed for its musical score, writing, visuals and accuracy, which was partly due to NASA’s involvement in the movie. The Martian won two Golden Globe Awards for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.
